Lets do it right

Tough times they say,Some say holidays, Some say Quarantine. Oh my I almost hate that word now it is annoying me to a different level. The word is been over used by everyone please find a word that doesn't make one anxious. I really think sometimes that is this panic even real, then we get the tweet threads from Italy, then I find my sanitizer bottle kept next to me. This thing is serious and we as a society need to get through this together. You know I got and idea for you make your bed nice and tidy sit back and relax, just sitting is so nice without any work is such a nice feeling, but I know it is good for 2 days and after that it gets boring, but you gotta do what you gotta do. If I'm honest I blame social media for all the anxious energy in me, I have got all the forwards  on WhatsApp telling me what to do,'Yeah I get it wash my hands zillion times, not socialising ' and stuff but the awareness is also bombarded to us the media in general is trying to scare u

Change Our Mentality

One of the issues in our country is safety of woman. Not only in our country but all over the world this problem is encountered. We are in 21st century, which is supposed to be an advance era however it is shameful to say that women's safety is a problem.
I listen people talking about so called ‘Equality’ but is it true? I don’t think so because analysing incidences occurring around me I don’t think that women’s are safe in different corners of our country.
It is true that women in modern India doing great stuff at the top level, however on the flip side they are being exploited .In our country we find people who are worship goddess. They worship goddess, they conduct poojas, they celebrate festivals “Navaratris” and “Durgashtami”. If we remember our history, we find that there was Panchali pratha in which a single woman was allowed to get married to five men. Despite of all this we don’t treat women the same , since goddess is also a female then why a woman should be treated differently.
Whenever some incident happens then girls are blamed for wearing inappropriate clothes, but the fault is not what they are wearing ,but in mentality of people. On December 16, 2013 an infamous incident, which got a name as “Nirbhaya” in the national capital of India was dreadful,Which can never be forgotten and shouldn’t be forgotten. After the incidence victim died but some politicians blamed that girl for wearing inappropriate clothes instead of hanging up those criminals. The only way these criminals should be treated is by public shaming. Women face many safety problems like physical abuse, they are tortured for dowry, female foeticide and many more.
In urban areas girls are nearly equal in education like boys, yet we have equal or more amount of cases in the cities, however things ain’t any better in rural areas, they are tackling different problems of their own.Girls, till today are still deprived of education so they don’t get knowledge about their rights. In some cases women are also fighting for their basic rights, for example: - Malala Yousafzai of Pakistan fought for girl’s education right against the Taliban’s. So every woman should fight for her right which would lead to equal rights and gender equality. The women, girls are the stronger gender, they are fierce and powerful.
We should not always blame the government or the law enforcement because woman’s safety is not the responsibility of government , it is the responsibility of each and every Indian citizen especially,Men who need to change their mindset for women. Make them feel good and make it a better place for them to live.
